Didn't last very long...

So turns out that wasn't the last post... I'm bored and felt like blogging. I've just emailed 5 people who have moved away to do things God has called them to do and now I feel a little bit jealous that I'm not on such a grand adventure! No, I take that back. My life is a pretty big adventure, I just wish it would get a bit more exciting! I mean, I really want to go abroad and do something like go to Kenya and teach primary school kids or go to The Ukraine and help street kids, or go anywhere that needs people to help the poor. I know everyone says the rich need to find Jesus as much as the poor but that's not my heart! My heart is to help the poor, particularly children and I'm going to feel restless until I'm out there helping. I love feeling needed and I just don't feel that right now. My 2 best friends have moved away to go to a music college, which is an awesome experience for them, but that just means that I don't even feel needed by them anymore. I don't mean to sound selfish but hey, isn't that what  blogs are for? My passion is to be in the heart of the action, helping people in a physical way just like Jesus taught us to in the bible. I keep praying for an opportunity to go somewhere but God's going to need to provide in a big way. My parents wouldn't be to happy about me going abroad but if it was definitely from God then they would support me. If God wants me to stay here for longer then I will, but I just feel like I'm not doing much. I wish I could be of more help to people who really need my help. I don't have much to give, I'm not special, I'm from a small town in England with a passion for Jesus and the poor and I feel like I want to do something with my life. Anyway, rant over! I feel satisfied with pouring out my feelings onto a page which nobody reads, it's quite cathartic.

That said, life is good. I'm a pretty laid back, happy person (you'd never guess that from my posts though!) and enjoy life for the most part. I know some lovely people and am completely in love with Jesus, I want to get to know him better though because I know I'm not living in the fullness of His power and I know I would be so much more satisfied with life if I was. If anyone is reading this and has a bible on them (Or just type it into Google) read Isaiah 58, I've been re-reading it over and over again this past week. It's so beautiful! When I think about God, it makes me happy :) So I can now leave this blog in a good mood again because I've just been thinking about Him. Jesus is awesome! I literally wouldn't know what to do without Him.

The last post

So I assumed when I wrote this blog that I would continue it for a while. But its been a year and life seems to have slown down whilst going incredibly fast! (If thats even possible?!) I think I want to focus on whats happening right now, I've always been caught up in my future and what God has planned for me but He keeps reminding me of what he has for me now. I have some amazing people in my life right now and I want to live my life with them for the now moments. God is doing some really exciting things at the moment. At any point things are going to really pick up and revival will hit Britain before she knows what hit her. I'm so excited! God really does work everything out for the good of those who love him. He has given me some amazing gifts these past months and I know the Ukraine is a huge part of my future but there are other things to live for now and to look forward to later. I want to travel and get to know different cultures and learn languages and definately visit the Ukraine at some point but I know God has plans for me here, in the UK as well as other international places he's been speaking to me about. I want to live for the now so I don't miss out on what God wants for me todayand tomorrow! So I'm finishing off this blog (at least for a while) and shall say God bless and goodbye! If I'm not back here blogging again, and I never meet my readers in person then I shall see you all in eternity! Au revoir! :D

Developing Your Call day!

Had an AMAZING weekend! I went to Bedford with 3 beautiful people to go to a developing your call day. It was so much fun! We heard some testimonies of some guys who had been out to other countries to do mission work or church plant and we also got some great practical tips of things to do before you leave.
Someone had a picture for me, they said they saw me stepping onto an escalator and going straight to the top, they said they believe my call will develop and progress quickly, that it doesn't mean tomorrow, but it won't be 10 years either, that it will be sooner than I think!
Thought that was really cool as it goes with what someone prophesied over me in 2007/8 saying "I feel you're going to be a missionary and it will be sooner than you think", so that was rather awesome!
Went to a church in Bedford too, which was great! It was really lively and they had loads of young people there.

I've been back at school for 3 days now doing lots of exams for my GCSE's! English Language is now finished forever! Yes! Just 10 more exams to go!

I'm going to try and complete the Tefl Course as well next year because that would be a good entry route into The Ukraine :) Had a good week-end and good week! Hope it's been the same for you! Bye!

JOY! Unspeakable Joy!

Louis Smead- To miss out on Joy is to miss out on the reason for your existence.
C.S. Lewis- Joy is the serious business of heaven.

Stop being so serious!

Laughter heals anger, restores love and creates perspective on life. It is GOOD for you to laugh, so laugh loud and laugh often! It's legal!

Look around you. What is on the news? The media don't often tell stories of joy and laughter because people 'need' to know about the bad things out there to make sure they're prepared for the worst. Jesus said "Do not worry". He also said "So my joy may be in you and your joy may be complete". Did you know that if you have a relationship with God and accepted him into your life, you are going to go to heaven and be with Jesus for eternity! Why are we so downcast? We don't need to be afraid, God is with us! If God is for us, who can be against us?

We have freedom to enjoy the Holy Spirit. Jesus Loves us! He died for us so that we shall not perish but have eternal life! He loves us! We don't have to and can't earn his love! He loves us when we're good and he loves us when we're naughty! He wants to spend time with us so He can bless us and talk to us and listen to us! Jesus loves YOU!

Jesus heals! Today, right now, he heals! Jesus is Healer! God healed people in old and new testament and he heals today! His name is HEALER! Rejoice! Even if you have never experienced a first-hand healing yourself, read about it in God's word. Many times God heals! We should be full of Joy!

God delivers us in times of trouble! We are after all only human, we're bound to get a bad day where we just can't get a smile on our face. If you focus on your giants, you will fall. If you focus on God, they will fall. Jesus said  "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." When we start thinking of our failures and fears, stop. Think about Jesus and his amazing promises and his gift of new Life! In Jesus we are free. We are children of God! What is better than that! People can disappoint you. Things can disappoint you, but Jesus never disappoints! He always knows what is best for us! Even when it seems like he hasn't heard our prayers, he has. He is waiting for the right moment to give you exactly what you need. It might not be what you wanted but God knows what is good for you. He knows what is better. And God's better is better! He wants to see you happy and laughing, living in his presence. He Loves you so much! His plans for you are good: "to prosper you and not to harm you". He wants you to be happy and he wants to know you better! God is GOOD!
Matthew 7:9-11 says: “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!

God is good! In every situation! Be joyful in Christ! When troubles come look to Him and worship him through the Good and bad. He is everything you need!

Be JOYFUL: REJOICE for you are loved!

Time to start posting!!

Hey again! Long time no write.. I realised that I haven't been on here enough lately so I have returned!

Things have started up again this week.. I have just finished a book called "Love has a face" which is absolutely amazing! I really want to love people like Jesus loves them! Any way, I woke up on Monday morning and the book said 1. Get up, 2. Ask God what he is doing, 3. Go and do it with him. So I woke up and asked God what he was doing and felt him say "Healing the sick" so I prayed for divine appointments this weeks where God would send me to the lost, lonely, hurting and the sick. Any way, Had a really cool prayer meeting on Monday which was superb! And then yesterday, I was sitting with a group of friends and one of my friend's friends complained that she felt awful. So seizing the opportunity, I asked her what was wrong and she said she had really saw blocked ears so I asked if I could pray for her. She said that it was fine, so I asked if I could put my hands on here ears and she was like "Yeah, sure, if you want to" So I prayed for her ears to be healed in Jesus' name! She said thanks and said she'd let me know if it made a difference. I thought "Wahoo! Thank you Jesus!" He gave me an opportunity, courage to take it and through that, one more person knows about Jesus!

It's amazing what can happen when you take out your bible and read it at school. A flock of people gathered round and started to ask me "What on earth are you reading? Oh my word, is that the bible?!" So I had another opportunity there to share about the bible nd answer some of their questions about the old and new testaments and explained why I thought it was a really exciting book and definitely not boring, etc.

Then today, I prayed for another divine appointment and opportunities to heal people and went downstairs and my dad's daily reading was open on "Bringing Healing" so I read it and it asked what I was confident about regarding healing. It also had this amazing bible verse on it from John 14:12-14, which I love!!

So I went to school completely sure that whatever I asked God for he would give; I asked him for opportunities to pray with people. Anyway, first lesson, my friend told me that her boyfriend was in court this morning fighting with his ex-girlfriend about who gets custody of the child. So I asked if I could pray for them because she seemed worried about it. So let her know that I was praying and asked God to do what was best for the child.

This same friend asks me to pray for her for things quite regularly because she said that every time she asks me to pray the prayers are answered! Thank you God! I really pray that you would do more in our school! I ask that everyday you can use me to do your will and share the Love of Jesus with my classmates!

Best birthday party ever!

I went to my best friends birthday party on friday, it was so much fun! We bought her 16 presents because it was her 16th birthday which she loved! We went to a really nice restaurant; I ordered a chicken breast stuffed with parma ham and soft cheese with sticky toffee pudding for dessert. The food was lovely and we went back to her house for a sleepover afterwards and watched a really good film called ghosts of girlfriends past. It was so much fun! We had some really great conversations and laughed for ages, especially when we used the helium birthday balloon and recorded our voices! It was so funny! Yesterday I went to a Christian Youth conference which was amazing! It was talking about future plans and we prayed and prophesied over each other. Today we made a facebook group for our prayer meeting (Revive) which is pretty cool! It's so exciting what God is going to do at our school! This is another short one because this room is freezing so I'm going to a warmer room in a minute but it doesn't have a computer in it! Chat to you soon!

Revive Prayer Meeting!

We now have a permanent room for our school prayer meeting (Revive)! We were meeting in a maths room but people kept disturbing us or the teacher forgot and locked the door so we couldn't go in. Well, we decided it was time we found a more suitable spot so we are now meeting somewhere permanently until April/ Easter then we can find another permanent spot from there on out. We meet every Monday lunch and sometimes Thursday lunches. Now that we have a room of our own, we can publicise it, so we are going to make some posters and/or handouts- Keep praying that loads of people will be interested in praying with us for our school!

Why can I think of absolutely nothing to say?! Oh well, I guess this one will have to be short! Expect more news very soon!

Our Life

fire fantasy burn image picture and wallpaper
I wanna set the world on fire

Until it's burning bright for you
It's everything that i desire
Can i be the one you use?

I, i am small but
You, you are big enough
I, i am weak but
You, you are strong enough to

Take my dreams
Come and give them wings
Lord with you
There's nothing i cannot do
Nothing i cannot do

I wanna feed the hungry children
And reach across the farthest land
And tell the broken there is healing
And mercy in the father's hands

I, i am small but
You, you are big enough
I, i am weak but
You, you are strong enough to

Take my dreams
Come and give them wings
Lord with you
There's nothing i cannot do (x2)

My hands my feet
My everything
My life my love
Lord use me

Take my dreams
Come and give them wings
'cause lord with you
Nothing i can't do (x2)

I'm gonna set the world on fire
Set the world on fire

There is nothing I can't do because of My God! Fire spreads so rapidly, it only takes a few of us to be on fire before the whole world is aflame!

New year resolutions

Happy new year!

It's came around again. That time of year when you promise yourself that you're going to walk the dog more often and limit your chocolate intake to once a month... we all know it's not going to happen! I figured that out a while ago. That's why, for myself, I don't like resolutions. They can be really helpful and I'm not saying don't write them! They can be very useful but I find it's just a list that gets stuck to the wall for a month before it falls off and hides itself under the bed.
So I decided to write a list of expectations. Jesus is so cool and he is going to do some awesome things this year. Even though I expect him to do amazing things, I still put him into a box. A box which is labelled "Expected plans and safety". Jesus doesn't like boxes. So here are my proposed new year expectations.

1. I expect to see revival come to my school before I leave this year.
2. I expect to spend time with God more this year.
3. I expect to help lead hundreds of people to God this year.
4. I expect to see revival hit Weymouth this year.
5. I expect God to speak to me more, prophesies from God through others to me and to others from God through me.

I write this down so that this time next year, I can see the amazing things God has done, all the promises he has fulfilled. I realised that by writing this I just put God into a box again so I write another:

6. I expect God not only to fulfil all of my expectations but to completely and utterly surpass them in ways I cannot imagine, to be even more than I expect! I expect and ask that God would be unexpected this year!

I am so excited! God has promised many many things, and he is always faithful. This year is a new year. The end of last year was just the warm-up. Get rid of those boxes, get rid of the safety nets and the comfort. Get God! When we clear all the rubbish out there's more space for God. Don't give him the leftover space; give him first place in your life this year. I'll try too!

Don't worry if we mess this up. Jesus' arms are always open, he loves you unconditionally. Don't be afraid to ask for his help. We won't fulfil resolutions by our own strength but we can do everything through Christ who strengthens us.

I wish you the best and I hope that 2011 is a really good year for all. Have an amazing year! God bless!
